I am new here at SkinBase, and I've been getting good reviews for my art. I don't have any problem with people complimenting my work, but I would like to stimulate people to tell me if they have any criticism. In oher words, if you don't like my work, I'd also like to know. Of course, taste is an important factor. But still, if someone can give a reason for not likinga certain skin or wallpaper, I think we can all learn from it.
Does anyone share this opinion?
I stumbled onto a freeware site that I thought had a pretty good selection of things including games, imageviewers/editors, audio/video, graphics (including plugins), utilities, etc. Thought you might want to check it out if I can get the damn link to work. You all know I have trouble with the linking. Oh, and for those who have had enough, I didn't encounter any pop-ups.

Well , it is quite annoying for myself, when giving a comment or when contacting some members, not to know their names and have to call them by their nickname. I know that mountainhawk is Iain, I know that our favourite Taxi is Toby, I know that our Adni is Nikos, I know that our kchristine is my sweet Sally,that our jamaunzie is Rick, that our sweet saalien is my dearest Auline, etc, but just a few minutes ago I had to give a comment to radnor (????),or to mikelly (????), or whoever else. Could you people tell us what your really names are ? I am Artur, best known as greytata, GT for my friends, but I am Artur, simply Artur...my pleasure to know you. |O|
Here I go again; Anyone know how to join two croped sections together in paint shop pro? I've looked but I can't seem to find a tutorial for it. I'm taking half of one picture and half of another and trying to put them together. Any help welcome, thanks. draggon_9
We all are here to share, no doubt about that and ultimately, we all are here to be accepted - more or less - through the artwork we do. And we all like to see our work, commented by others. No doubt about that either. One can ignore - or not - the comments they receive . If it is good comments, we all thank to eah others, if not...probably one can get sad ,misunderstood or even....mad :(
Well, let me put the things my way: When I like a work, generally I comment on it - unless the last rush on the Esater competition, where I did not have the time to comment on all works that were submitted, as I missed some of them.
If I do like a work in a lesser way than others, generally I do not comment or I try to make a constructive comment on that .
Constructive comments are always welcome from my side - and in a way that I always answer the person in question, thanking him/her for that comment, - not only the good ones - as I understand it as a way of being honest with me. I always give constructive comments at no price, to everyone as well, if I see or understand that a particular work deserves that comment and generally, I only take into consideration, artwork that is good enough but for some reason - my reason - could be improved. Of course, this is my way of see things.
What I want to stress here is that all constructive comments I gave until today to everybody, were really meant as constructive, nothing else. Cheers :beer :Happy :Happy
FSIV, stands for Fast Stone Image Viewer and I believe that any photographer should have his/her's own copy in their computer. Why? Just because it is a great software - FREE - with a so complete array of features that if a capture is a good capture, no one needs Gimp, PhotImpact - these are the ones I use - or alikes. Really. The more I work with images, the more I like this extremely well written software. Go to their website - http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDetail.htm - and check for yourselves. What a great program. And bellieve me that I have tried similar ones but that from my humble point of view, are beaten hands down by FSIV. :Happy
